28.03.2024.

A printing company operating in Ventspils, SIA "TechGym" is developing a digital platform called "Upprint studio", where anyone interested can create their unique design and make personalized products.

The company SIA "TechGym", specializing in the production of personalized printed products, located in Ventspils High Technology Park, Ventspils, is implementing a project "Online Design Workshop and Product Personalization Terminal" (Project No. NAGS1-IES-2021/23, Contract No. NP-2022/68).

The aim of the project is to develop a platform "Upprint studio" designed for on-demand printing of interior, decorative, and self-adhesive products.

Compared to the traditional methods of interior, decor, and self-adhesive product manufacturing and distribution, the newly established platform will streamline the production and storage of personalized products in bulk, reducing costs and leaving a positive environmental impact.

The platform's target audience consists of consumers who engage in do-it-yourself (DIY) construction or interior design projects, aged between 18 and 65 years old, as well as any online store owner offering personalized products.

On March 26, 2024, an informational event was held in Ventspils regarding the project's activities. During the meeting, the project's shared vision for reaching its goals was presented. Additionally, the planned outcomes of the project, as well as the activities that have already been completed and those expected, were discussed.

The project is being carried out by SIA 'TechGym' in partnership with International Development Norway AS, Ltd.

The total project costs amount to 157,308.04 EUR, where the Norwegian Financial Mechanism co-financing is 110,115.62 EUR, and the self-financing is 47,192.42 EUR.

The project is being implemented under the small grant scheme under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 program "Business Development, Innovation, and SMEs" for the development of " Development of green industry innovation and ICT products."  with an expected completion date of April 30, 2024.
